Your Contribution:

  • Design and development of manufacturing processes along with the layout and equipment design for new processes. This includes project management for creating and setting specifications, developing, implementing, and monitoring equipment as part of the manufacturing system.
  • Commissioning and qualification of new equipment and processes.
  • Follow and adhere to all given instructions including work procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
  • Liaise with external engineers and vendors.
  • Modify and optimize equipment and processes that are already in place.
  • Completion of documentation to show and ensure compliance with both internal and external regulations and protocols.
  • Collaboration with the Production Team to maintain optimization of the manufacturing process
  • Assisting Production and Maintenance departments with troubleshooting in the event of a problem.
  • Data collection, interpretation and report writing
  • Planning and installation of new equipment.
  • Risk assessments of the equipment and processes being used.
  • Continual evaluation of equipment and processes to ensure both efficiency and quality remain high
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets for construction, capital, and operating expenditures.
  • Maintain process documentation.

What it Takes:

  • 5 - 10 years' experience in a pharmaceutical or similar setting.
  • Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in chemical or process engineering or related field.
  • Master of Science (MSc) in a related field or Master of Engineering (MEng) degree will be considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of regulations specifically as it concerns to both pharmaceutical and cannabis industries
  • Adept at working with databases, ERP, and other information management tools.
  • Experience or certification in project management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with other team members to coordinate complex activities, budgets, and projects often with competing priorities.
  • Ability to think on one’s feet, manage pressure, and assess problems to provide the best solution.
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to always maintain integrity and honesty.
  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications and other work-related software.
